I am a qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Counsellor currently working in private practice and in a hospital setting supporting relatives/friends whilst the patient is in hospital. I have previous experience working as a specialist addictions counsellor and as a visiting lecturer in Counselling Skills at Hertfordshire Regional College. I have worked for Mind and more recently set up and facilitated a support group for unpaid carers  of someone with mental ill health.

A registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) I abide by the code of ethics set out by the same professional body.

My work is based on looking at the unconscious processes that may affect how we relate to, and/or deal with life's ups and downs. I work placing value on individuality and diversity taking into consideration different cultural and social backgrounds as well as sexual orientation and disability. These are all important areas that may impact on our sense of self.
